My family absolutely loved our stay here for the entire month of May. We loved the natural-light-filled living room where we had a great view of the many gorgeous sunsets and misty morning clouds hovering over the surrounding woods. The upside down layout with the kitchen and living room upstairs and bedrooms downstairs doesn’t seem like it would make sense, but we loved the views it afforded and wouldn’t have had it any other way. The natural fireplace was another nice bonus. The place has a nice renovated feel to it that makes everything feel very comfortable and clean. We had many magical walks along the Speyside way trail that goes along the magnificent river Spey and is just a few hundred meters away. The woods between the house and Grantown-on-Spey are filled with wonder, elderly residents on their morning walks, and fairies! It was easy to access the Cairngorns National Park where we went on many walks, to Inverness, and we were able to make it to most of the other highlights of the Highlands from here. Grantown was a great quaint little town to pop into for groceries or restaurants. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
